Guillermo and I feel really badly for Vincent and Seb. They have been sailing a fantastic race thus far, and to have it end this way must be devastating for them. It goes to show how hard these boats are to sail, even for the most talented teams and best prepared boats.

I think all of us will be trying to back off the accellerator these next few days as we try to negotiate some pretty strong winds. We need to just get through without further damage. We are definitely in the Southern Ocean now, with all of it’s risks.
